Overview of the STIHL TSA 300 Cordless Cut-Off Machine

The STIHL TSA 300 weighs just 6.3 kg, without the battery, making it particularly lightweight for a cordless cut-off machine. Low maintenance and extremely durable, it features a 2.5 kW EC motor, including belt drive and enclosed control unit, as well as a K-ME abrasive wheel, for cutting steel.

The TSA 300’s EC Engine

Boasting a very long service life, this cut-off machine’s EC engine is both smooth and quiet when running. It is extremely energy efficient too, so you’ll be able to cut neatly and swiftly, up to 110mm (4.3 inches) deep, with minimal fuss.

Thanks to a lack of engine vibration, this cutting machine has a very narrow kerf, so you can achieve precision cutting at all times. This narrow kerf makes the TSA 300’s cutting speed comparable to STIHL’s TS 410 Petrol Cut-Off Machine, despite it having a lower kW output.

Intelligent Electronics for Constant Power

Just like other STIHL battery-powered tools, the STIHL TSA 300 uses intelligent electronics to deliver constant power, whatever the battery level. This optimised performance continues until there is no power left in the battery.

The TSA 300’s Control Panel

With its clear, user-friendly design, the TSA 300’s control panel features a large on/ off button and 2 LED lights, showing the machine’s operating speed and a sign to warn of potential overheating.

Cutting Wheel Guard

In keeping with the rest of this cut-off machine, the cast magnesium cutting wheel guard is light in weight, stable and robust. It will ensure that you’re neither hit by any flying debris nor sprayed with cooling water from the cutting wheel.

An Integral Water Connection

This cut-off machine comes with an integral water connection too. So, while you’re working with the STIHL TSA 300, you can have a steady, reliable supply of water flushing the cutting wheel.

This has the effect of binding dust and cooling the cut, keeping your vision clear, workspace clean, and protecting both yours and your machine’s health.

The Fast-Stop Brake

When you release the TSA 300’s control lever, the cut-off wheel will automatically brake within four seconds, ensuring safe, efficient working practice.

What’s more, the energy gained is fed straight back into the battery to increase its operating time. This process is known as ‘recuperation’.

A User-Friendly Cut-Off Machine

Thanks to the TSA 300’s ergonomically designed curved handle, you’ll be able to keep a firm but comfortable grip on the machine, even when cutting very hard stone. This allows you to cut safely and accurately, every time.

Semi-Automatic Drive Belt Tensioning

Light, consistent re-tensioning of the drive belt results in a longer service life for the belt and shaft bearings.

Magnets have been positioned in the TSA 300’s cooling air flow system to prevent ferromagnetic particles from reaching the working parts, helping the machine maintain a consistently high performance and enjoy a longer service life.

This magnetic filter is easy to remove, clean and reinstall, whenever required.

Connectivity Ready

The STIHL TSA 300 Cordless Cut-Off Machine is compatible with Smart Connector 2A (sold separately), which can be mounted in the housing to link this tool to the STIHL Connected App.
